Excellent!  Just what this city needed!  It's casual while being fancy as well.  They have excellent food provided by highly trained chefs.  Wonderful place.  I've been there a lot since their opening a little over a month ago.

I agree!  It is very nice to have a place like Jewell's in our small town!

I also agree that the food is great!  FINALLY Warsaw has a good place to eat!  I am a little disappointed that they are not open on Sunday's though...maybe they should consider that.  It's nice to eat somewhere good after church without having to drive to Florence.  Another suggestion would be to add some desserts to the menu.  I know I love a good piece of pie after dinner.

Yes, the best thing to happen to Warsaw in years, Justin is a great cook and offers excellent choices at a valuable price ! I love it, I never thought I would be saying lets drive from Boone Co. to Warsaw for a nice meal !

Overheard in the Restaurant

"The food, presentation, and service were excellent. The salad was so fresh, it tasted as though the vegetables had just been picked. My steak was so tender and tasty... We will be back!"

River Times published August 2008 - New Restaurant offers Kentucky Favorites - Jewell's on main, a new restaurant in Warsaw, Kentucky has attracted a lot of attention among River Times readers this summer.  In the two months since it opened, the restaurant has become known for its fine "Kentucky Regional" food, for the charming wait staff, and for the historical building where diners from throughout the area are served.  Executive Chef Justin Mylor, 35 and his wife, Rena, own the restaurant.  Both are Gallatin County natives who attended Western Kentucky University where Justin graduated with a degree in hotel/restaurant management.  Before opening his own restaurant, Chef Justin cooked for the Bowling Green County Club and prepared meals for governors, senators, college presidents and other well-known personalities.  Jewell's is open for lunch and dinner and features a menu full of entrees with a Kentucky flair such a orange bourbon salmon, Jewell's Hot Brown and a variety of steaks, chicken, pasta and seafood dishes.  The Shrimp n Grits and the Catfish have been big summer sellers.  Justin and Rena named the restaurant after his grandmother, Jewell Pittman, who taught him to appreciate good food as a youngster.  The couple is already making plans for a new fall menu featuring Mediterranean dishes for the cooler weather.
